Description

Almost half of the material in the Seventh Edition of Introduction to Personality is new for two reasons. First, both its content and organization incorporate the explosion of research and discoveries that the field has experienced since the publication of the last edition. Second, the new edition offers what no other personality text on the market has yet even attempted: an integrated view of the field.Organized around six levels of analysis of personality (trait-dispositional, show more psychodynamic-motivational, phenomenological, behavioral-conditioning, social cognitive, and biological), the text illustrates the concepts, methods, and research that capture the essentials of each level. A new part, Integration of Levels: The Person as a Whole, culminates the text and presents an integrated perspective of all six levels. In addition to numerous concrete life examples and a larger trim size, new pedagogy makes the Seventh Edition the most accessible yet. show less
