People with obsessions are fascinating - twitchers definitely included. While most of us could never imagine attempting such a ridiculous goal of seeing 700 bird species in a year - it was fun to read about!
Very entertaining, easy to read and interesting. I'm jsut starting to get interested in birdwatching so this is a great introduction. The author travels around Australia trying to see 700 bird species in a year. He has written comedy for television so it's an amusing read.
I'm a bird nerd myself, so loved this book, but after thrusting it repeatedly under my non-birdwatching fiance's nose found that she liked it too, and understood my compulsion a little better.
