This was a bit too horsey for me, I didn't follow the Pony Club activities but I could have managed that if the main character, Ruth, had made much sense to me but she didn't. I didn't really understand why she did and said the things she did and said and as the story was mostly about her it just fell a bit flat. I guess there are other loosely related books and I think I read one of them quite some time ago but I won't bother with more. I did better with The Flambards Trilogy, I liked the planes!
