Lovely original fairy-tale - a picture-book, but not for the littlest rug-rats as it's a bit long. I loved how the girl is neither princess nor peasant. And it's not just the classic trope backwards, with her rescuing a prince in distress, but rather both she and he are both brave & timid, competent & vulnerable. ( )
