Before I gave this book to my 11 month old I had to remind my husband not to say that chickens are yucky. Our favorite page? "Chicken sneaking," which has a rooster walking up behind a cat. Hilarity! ( ) “Busy, busy chickens. What are they doing?” asks the first page of this board book. Real photographs of chickens and simple text answer the question. The chickens are squawking, sneaking, and squishing, among other things. Kids will love the adorable pictures of birds engaged in silly activities. The rhyming text is catchy but descriptive enough so readers will be able to match words with actions. This title is just one in a series of “busy” books, including penguins, bunnies, pandas and more. Recommended. For ages 0-5. no reviews | add a review
