Somehow these Gail Gibbons emergency books really tickle my toddler's fancy. She loves them! Which is annoying because they're not really fun for the adult to read. Still, 4 stars for the toddler love.
Fire! Fire! is an informational text about fire safety and the role of firefighters. Illustrations are clear and informative and the book contains a list of fire fighting equipment, “ways to prevent a fire,” and “what to do if there is a fire.” I found this book to be mildly engaging, but believe that it targets a very specific audience (ages 5-9) that would find it exciting. I also found the diction, or word choice, to be extremely appropriate for young readers. Gibbons includes highlighted vocabulary words for further instruction.

A solid book for fire safety month, just the right amount of details for k-3.
This book has descriptive diagrams that point out important objects that children should be able to identify that relate to fire safety. It talks about what happens when their is a fire, while walking through a story instead of simply relaying information. first, the dispatcher get the call then they send the call over the loudspeaker for the firefighters. It also shows pictures of how the fire trucks are able to help people who are trapped in a fire and the tools they can use to get people to safety. The book offers a lot of information about different types of fires that happen in different areas such as, farms, country, and city.
Fire! Fire! Tells the story of the different scenarios in which fire fighters are needed. From apartment fires to forest fires, this book covers it all. I liked this book as it was very informational, and yet still fun to read. This book would be really good for kids interested in fire fighters or fire trucks. It also shows the process of calling the fire fighters and their response.

An informational Book about what happens when there's a fire in different places like the city, the country, the Forest and the waterfront. It explains how the fire was started by a towel that was blown into the burning stove. Then someone makes the call, the dispatcher call the nearest fire station and they get to the building to take care of the fire and rescue the people. Great vocabulary lots of interesting words for children to learn.
