I really liked this book. This is not my typical reading selection, but it proved to be simple and practical advice.
Maybe one day I will find the avenue to put it to use. Until then, I'll just be happy with the daily 9-to-5. ( )

The goal of this book is to convince you that you can quit your 9-5 job and start your own company. Pamela Slim does a great job. She highlights why it will work and why it won't. I listened to the book and found that I wish I had a paper copy for later reference ( )

Epigraph
Dedication
To Dad, when given a photography assignment two decades ago to take pictures of cubicles, turned to his colleague and said, "Charlie: 20 years from now, some expert will be discussing the detrimental effects of these things on employee mental health." Little did you know it would be me.
First words
so much of the advertising and marketing about entrepreneurship, especially on the Internet, contains exuberant exclamations like: here's a picture of me to awarding the supermodels in the French Riviera in my $10 million yacht!" Or I was oppressed file clerk, bossed around by tyrannical managers until I spend $399 on a 12 CD training program.
