I found this book to be all right. I mean, it's a nice jumping-off point for an introduction to various goddesses in mythology, but I find other books to be better for that subject. This book is meant as a self-help book, to invoke various goddesses for personal growth/strength, each goddess in this book represents a trait or attribute. There is a brief history on each goddess along with questions to consider for the ritual. This is by no means a bad book, but personally I can't recommend it unless you're into contemplating goddesses during meditation. 2.5/5 stars.
Patricia Monaghan writes about the myths of various goddesses, and the poetry and rites associated with them. Very helpful for getting to know the different energies and aspects of various goddesses.
