The Last Chance Ranch

When Tanya Bishop, a young mother with no way out shoots her abusive, stalker ex-husband, she ends up in jail for murder. A decade or so later, she's released and has a chance to reconnect with the son she was forced to sign away. Her son is living with her ex's cousin on the Last Chance Ranch, a home for troubled boys. Taking a job as a cook, Tanya learns to be free, begins to connect with her son, and finds she's still able to fall in love.

Predictable, but still sweet and well told.
