Joseph Pietrykowski took a degree in History and Classics at Hanover College, Indiana. He has since worked researching rare archives, documents and photographs and written on various historical topics for several large, grant-funded projects. He has also worked as a freelance writer. He has a long-standing. interest in ancient warfare and has show more contributed to the specialist publication Ancient Warfare.
