My first written Lupin, although I had enjoyed the recent TV series.

This was thus rather a let-down. It's very dated. The plot leaps are implausibly ridiculous, the smell of melodrama is overwhelming and all characters are thinly disposable. I don't think it's a poor translation, but the writing is also hyperbolic to the point of being ludicrous.

I doubt I'll bother with another.
