Buster and his friends come up with the idea to have a garage sale. They all bring their old toys, and Binky is fascinated with the jack-in-the-box. He plays with it and it breaks. He tries to hide it at the sale, but as things continue to be sold his hiding spot is revealed. A little boy finds the jack-in-the-box and begins to cry because he thinks he broke the toy. Binky admits he broke the toy and gives the boy a fire truck. Francine overhears what is happening and shows Binky how to fix the jack-in-the-box. Later Binky goes home and finds that his mother bought the toy for him. I would use this book for kindergarten or 1st grade. It would be good to talk about responsibility and honesty. no reviews | add a review
