I don’t quite know how I feel about this book.

It did not make me cry like the Judith Viorst book or Badger’s Parting Gift.

Death is a part of life and this discusses aging, elder care, death, burial, and cleaning someone’s home after they have died. That’s a lot to pack into a little book and I think it’s ordinariness can help introduce a difficult topic to a child who might never have dealt with it before.

Review from my 12 year old:
“I liked it, it was sad but sweet. I liked the characters.”
