Although this book is aimed at older children, I found it to be an entertaining read.

The story is set in the lead up to Christmas but it’s not *about* Christmas. The season is merely a backdrop and is the reason why a family of four are staying at a semi-isolated house over Christmastime.

The teenage daughter is alone in suspecting the housemaid is an imposter. She tries hard to convince her sceptical older brother. We also see what's happened to the real Anna, who's not too far away.

The plot is solid and the characters are vivid.
