This is an amazing collection of kids-oriented comics long unseen and forgotten by current collectors and readers of superhero fare. Wonderful Little Lulu, Pogo, fairy tales, and Uncle Scrooge tales that I'm sure to be sharing with my little one ASAP. ( )

If you remember all of the fun cartoons as a child you will love these graphic novels! Fun stories easy to read for students. If you don't like superhero comics these are some great comic reading for your child.

All were clearly drawn out of genuine love for little kids and their sensibilities, and their playfulness and attention to detail made them the springboard for the comics avant-garde that arrived a few decades later.

Heartfelt thanks to Art Spiegelman and Francoise Mouly for bringing back a nearly forgotten popular art form.

Spiegelman and Mouly picked stories that are smart, funny, and warm. Thankfully they didn't concern themselves with finding stories that are overly simple -- the have engaging plots and I enjoy the stories as much as my kids do.
