Another beautiful book by Human Kinetics Press. This book is definitely for beginners, and there's a lot of useful information in here that will make the weight room much less intimidating to the first-time user. I particularly appreciate the steps to determining the appropriate weight, which can be difficult for somebody who has never lifted before. Also included are things like the correct grip, posture and movement.
Excellent for designing a program. Includes specific information for determining the amount of weight to start lifting, how to adjust the weight / reps, and a structure for a complete body workout.
