by Hunter Lewis

Description

In responding to the financial crash of 2008, both the Bush Administration and the Obama Administration have relied on prescriptions developed by John Maynard Keynes, the most important economist since Marx. But should we be relying on Keynes? What did Keynes actually say? Did he make his case? Hunter Lewis concludes that he did not. If Keynes was wrong then so are the economic policies of virtually all world governments today.

The noise you hear when reading this book is the sound of scales hitting the ground as they fall from your eyes. Jargon-free reading assists in the understanding of the material and ensures that you anger can freely fume about the way governments the world over play with the poor schmucks they are supposed to take serve and protect. I found confirmation for my long-held belief that the altruism professed by politicians is non-existent - how could it be when everything they do is focused on being re-elected? And that includes the ones of whom I approve!
