A true Australian classic. So many people grew up with these cakes and thankfully the book is still occasionally reprinted. Simply marvellous. My childhood favourites included that swimming pool with jelly, the TV set and that mammoth cake - which I had for my very first birthday - the space rocket.
Some interesting and novel ideas on cake decorating for those who don't have the time or steady enough hands to do the serious icing.. Well presented and easy to follow with good, clear illustrations of all the finished cakes.
A very sueful step-by-step guide to baking children's birthday cake.
