Having read a few Martina Cole books I was looking forward to reading this as her books are based in areas where I was brought up. Unfortunately I didn’t find it as good as her previous books and was quite repetitive about the Kate and Patrick relationship and I started to get quite bored. I keep wondering if it’s me or if I am generally finding books hard to get through lately. ( )

I have read several Martina Cole books in the past and have really enjoyed them. This is one that I hadn't yet read and was a good read.

Kate and Annie both work for Grantley police force and are
investigating the murders of young prostitutes. They are being killed in their places of work which are private flats used for the purpose of prostitution. The girls are alone at the time of murder and all drank a cup of tea before it happened. They are all paralysed and killed in a very horrid way.

Kate and Annie are the leads on the cases. The murderer tidy's up and doesn't leave a trace. There's also no evidence of forced entry so they must all know their killer and have willingly let them in. They aren't raped. The hunt is on for a customer who gets to know his clients before killing them.

I did enjoy this book. It took me a while to finish it which is unusaul however it did hold my interest. I think it had too much about Kate's relationship with Patrick and that could have been cut down some. The murderer became obvious to me about 2/3 into the book and then it was a race to figure out, how they were going to figure it out!

All in all, enjoyable and intersting and I will be reading another Martina Cole soon. ( )

I couldn't finish this, life is too short; it may be one of the worst written publications since that Brown man's Da Vinci Code, ( )
