Very enjoyable light reading. A bit odd to see the devil may care attitude that led to such devastation of wild animal populations in "exotic" locations, but also useful to see it in the context of an apparently good-hearted human rather with the assumption of malice.

When I read it in high school 40 yrs+ ago, it was a very exciting book and look, here I am now living in Indonesia, but yet to go to Komodo.
