I really enjoyed the early Alexandria portion of the show and it looks like it's gonna be great in the comics too. Fluid and well written thus far. ( )

Now, this is the sort of content that I signed up for.

Life Among Them finds our protagonists in strange situation in this issue. Finally getting to DC, they are offered an opportunity too good to be true. There's a community full of food, weapons, and secure housing - full of people who want them and only require they pull their own weight. This is what one might have hoped for in Woodbury, isn't it? Although Woodbury wore its faults on its sleeve, this community is something altogether different...

Is it what it seems to be? If it is, then is our group of survivors who the community should fear rather than the other way around?

Paranoia dogs the pages and the artwork and story provide the perfect veneer to the situation. What if things are OK? Would enjoying this only make you too weak to survive if it all collapses? Or is everything... for once... OK? Will they mess it all up again?

Only time will tell. Onward, there's more stories to read. ( )

Aaron comes out of nowhere to convince Rick's group to come with him to Alexandria, a safe community surrounded by walls. Once they arrive, members of the group experiences varying levels of contentment. ( )

The adventure continues as Rick and the gang stumble across 'The Community'. What is the deal with this place? It made me ask so many questions. I really loved how close knit the group has become - and I am so glad the HBO show is different to the comics because I love being surprised still.

Carl has changed, when confronted with playing with other kids and taking part in Halloween, he just doesn't enjoy it anymore. It interesting to see how that world has affected everybody. Even Rick, still wary of strangers is making plans to fight these people if it all goes south. This volume felt like the calm before a storm. I can't wait to see what happens.

Book description
The world we knew is gone. The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled: no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. In a world ruled by the dead, the survivors are forced to finally start living.
