Kinky Friedman writes a good detective story, as "A Case of Lone Star" demonstrates. Country musicians start getting murdered and Kinky has to find out why before even more honky tonkers get killed. Hank Williams is somehow involved. ( )

Great for one of his earlier works. Not quite as polished as later ones but still a lot of fun. ( )

Written in the Kinky Friedman vernacular, this book is a hilarious read, a colorful journey. Fun, splendid, you really ought to read it. ( )
