This is my SSR book for Q 4. I have read 116 pages. The narrator begins with a young girl named Scout Finch who starts off as pure and innocent, but is later on struck with the bitter reality of life. Along with her brother Jem and their neighbor Dill, they all come together to seek adventure and endless stories. Their adventure revolves around the mysterious and infamous Boo Radley who they find scary and unappealing, but ends up being like any person who has been misjudged once before. In fact, Radley is among many who have a scarred past, which many people have misunderstood. Atticus, the father of Jem and Scout, is a lawyer defends a colored man named, Tom Robinson who is later convicted which upsets young Scout Finch. Near the end, show more Scout and Jem are saved by Boo Radley who they find terrifying, but who turned out to be just like anyone: a human being. Lastly, Scout learns a valuble lesson to never be prejudice and accept people for who they are.

I enjoyed this book very much because of it's plot line. I liked the storyline of how this young girl who's world is suppose to be filled with joy and pure innocence turns into a mere glimpse of being an adult. And in the end she learns to not be judgmental, which even for some adults is difficult to do so. Moreover, there was nothing I did not enjoy about the book.

I did not quite finish the book since we barely had time in class along with my own time at home, but I plan on finishing it in the future.
