I reviewed DOUBLESHOT on another site when it was firs released. This is my first re-read since that review and my opinion hasn't changed. This is the worst James Bond novel out there. It reads like a bad Nick Carter Killmaster novel. The plot is based on the old evil twin wheeze. The "Bond girl" is a juvenile fantasy right out of the Penthouse Forum playbook. It's part of a trilogy linked by the criminal group the Union. The final book in the trilogy is all you need to read to get the whole story and the 'twist'. Skip this one.
