A welcome addition to the series. There is always a chapter that drags me in emotionally in these books and that is one of the reasons I love them. I spent most of chapter 16 just shocked and appalled at some of the characters. Though it took me a while to make my way through this, it was so worth it. Can't wait to see what the author has in store for Bastian, Sevin and Luc. Especially Luc!
I have read a couple others book in this series and while a little out there I could somewhat get into the characters and plots..this one...UGH, felt like torture. In all honesty, I couldn't bring myself to get even half way through it. Way too out there, main character being a split personality, I can learn to deal with that...but a third personality....enough is enough. There was nothing I could like about any of the other characters, too flat personality wise.
i tried but just wasn't my cup of tea.

The plot was incredibly close to Amber's first book [book: Nicholas], from the three brothers to the forced marriages to the too-easily resolved conflict with the evil Greek-fertility-myth cult. Meh.
spoiler alert: i am so glad they found their brother.
not as good as the first family
