I am reading these Maria Kallio books in random order and I am absolutely thrilled with this interesting woman. Maria Kallio is not a character who would be convincing as an American. She is so definitively "other" – a true feminist, a free thinker, a woman in a position of responsibility, a committed life partner, a new mother. All these jobs are embraced with energy, intelligence, and an entirely human ambivalence. No, Maria Kallio is not an American.

I received a review copy of "Her Enemy: The Maria Kallio Series Book 2" by Leena Lehtolainen translated by Owen F. Witesman (AmazonCrossing) through NetGalley.com.

A good, low-key and entertaining story about a murder involving people involved in unconventional sex. The protoganist is a lot of fun - my kind of heroine.
This book is awesome and intense it has action and adventure but also has some mystery in it and kind of keeps you thinking like what's going to happen next. If you’re the kind of person who loves mystery or action adventure then get this book it is incredible. You might become addicted!

This was a really good mystery book some of the hairs stand up on my neck but otherwise it was good. This is by far my favorite book series! What an outstanding read! It captivates you in the first few pages and never lets you go!

This book was action-packed, with a suspenseful plot and danger at every turn. Leena Lehtolainen combines mysterious facts with family honors; a must for any of her fans.

Enjoyable read, with interesting characters. I felt I show more knew the central characters and could like them. Well written, keep you thinking, but not a heavy read. A quality "whodunit". Doesn't rely on flashy characters. Has a flowing writing style, interweaving the different characters and subplots, to a suspenseful finale. Would recommend.

Good book and implies further growth in the series. Sad my library doesn't have the rest of them.
