This book highlights the morphological structures of different night creatures like barn Owls, true owls, bats, frogmouths, etc. The most interesting part of this book are the habitats, adaptive structures with different functions, behavior, and the physiological features of the owl. The author Gallimard Jeunesse and Sylvaine Perols narrate different phases of the owl ’s life cycle with intricate pictures. I prefer seeing the bone structure inside an owl, so the students can be engaged to identify the parts. Once students will see the bones, they can connect the theory of evolution with the bones of an owl. The ending portion of this book signifies the difference among various night creatures’ habitats, locomotion, movements, and show more adaptive behaviors. show less
