Description
I'm told the dead are all around us, but I wouldn't know about that. I see only the violently slain. They could be victims of hit-and-run, innocents caught in a cross-fire or the murdered. They whisper to me and they never, ever, forget the face of their killer. They aren't the only supernatural things I see. No, they're not vampires, werewolves or fae - those things don't exist. We live side by side with what some call the Otherworldy, but that's too much of a mouthful for me. I call them show more demons. If you saw them as I do you'd know why. Right now I'm trying to find Lawrence, the missing son of a murdered woman. Or was she murdered? But Clarion PD gave me a partner I would rather shoot than work with. I can't tell them he's a demon. They'd think I'm crazy. show lessTags

Right now I'm trying to track down a missing six year-old boy whose mother was murdered. Or maybe she wasn't. To further show more complicate the case, Clarion PD gave me a partner I'd rather shoot than work with.
I can't tell them he's a demon.
They'd think I'm crazy.
I'm Tiff Banks. Welcome to my world."
Ms. Welch has a very unique way of exploring the paranormal. The characters are well-developed for a first book in the series. I found myself laughing out loud at several scenes. Added bonus - Mac! I encourage anyone to try out this series. show less

Tiffany Banks can see dead people, she can see how they died and who killed them. She has been working with the Clarion PD in Utah when a ghost appears in her backyard and tells Tiff that her son is missing. When Tiff takes this information to Mike, the Lieutenant she works for at the police department he begins a search and learns that many boys born on November 7, 2002 have been murdered. She suspects demons.
A well-designed fantasy with parallel worlds but different goals. A mystery and romance populated with ghosts.
