adventure fiction (old timey suspense). These are fine, not recommended for bedtime listening though because of the frequent (and loud) classical music intermissions. They do carry an air of pretentiousness, a bit like being subjected to your least favorite uncle who tends to mansplain things often, but if you like fantastic stories, these are fine. ( )

It's been a while since I've read or listened to Doyle's literature and I really enjoyed rediscovering him. The narrator did a wonderful job. If you haven't experienced Doyle, this is an excellent place to start.

In these stories, Conan Doyle draws the listener in to experience drama, suspense and, ultimately, the shock of surprise. Here is a unique combination of a famous analytical intellect telling spine-tingling tales against a background of turn-of-the-century England. Nothing is quite as it seems. What is the secret of Lot No. 249? What lies in wait for an aviator in the stratosphere? And what lies inside The Sealed Room? ( )
