Strange: an absurd premise, but it unexpectedly sucked me in and I ended up enjoying it. I'm not sure about the ending, though! ( ) This is truly a one of its kind story(although translated from French) that you must read to truly appreciate the emotive aspects of love and lust,loss and humanity redeemed.The premise of the narrative is really unigue: an easygoing country squire who abhorred the cruel sport of fox hunting,himself witnessed the transformation of a cornered fox into a beautiful woman. The poignant story depicted vividly in 'John Fowles'style how our man himself transformed,set about determinedly to save, protect,nuture and educate this innocent human vixen,eventually....
