Reflection: This is fun retelling of a classic. There are wonderful illustrations throughout the book. There is also a nice page at the end with notes about the history of this story. ( )

A whimsical folk tale about a clever cat who overcomes many obstacles to help his new master who is the son of a penniless miller and inherits the cat. The self assured cat has the ability to the change the young man's fortunes.
