Eigenlijk twee verhalen naast elkaar, over een jonge vrouw en een Spaanse gastarbeider die in de jaren 60 in Nederland werkte. De relatie tussen deze twee figuren vond ik 'bedacht'. De schrijfster weet de spanning goed vast te houden. Gemakkelijk leesbaar, actueel boek vanwege het thema emigratie.
