I'm so happy that Kasey Michaels' Romney Marsh books have been issued as e-books. I lost the paperbacks a while back in a move, but I love this series so much that I even stopped for a day at Romney Marsh during a trip to England back when we could travel. Anyway, I'm delighted to reread these again.
The second book of the series belongs to Morgan Becket, the dark, tempestuous beauty who meets her match in Ethan Tanner, the eccentric Earl of Aylesford. They are a perfect match, even when their antics scandalize and fascinate London. Ethan is a perfect fit in the wild Becket family, willing to get his hands dirty when necessary as long as he gets his hands on Morgan too.
This is absolutely one of my favorite Regency romance series and I show more highly recommend it. I would love it even more if it could get the Bridgerton treatment. 😉 show less
More interesting for some of the bit characters and some of the interactions, this could have been set in anytime and suffers from a lack of period feel. However the characters of Morgan Becket and Ethan Tanner are great fun and they interact well producing an amusing tale whose plot takes back seat to the interaction.

Enjoyable but a bit meh.
