Really liked the way she handled the character's voice. It felt very real, and the complications in the plot felt very middle school - as they should have! I'd expect Laurie Halse Anderson's pet stories to feel more like this, and I'm surprised they don't. I remember this author had a great short story in some middle school dog collection; now I'm looking forward to reading her Wings of Fire books.
A sweet, funny, laugh out loud book that everyone enjoyed taking turns reading out loud. Perfect for all ages. We will definetly read more from the series.
