Členové posádky atomové ponorky jsou vmanipulování do situace, kdy si mají myslet, že každou chvíli vypukne III světová válka. Ovšem hazardní plány generálů přestanou být realitou v okamžiku, kdy se ponorka stává neovladatelnou z pobřežních stanovišť a je řízena zvnitřku ponorky.
