Okay survey of the writing process, particularly the nuts and bolts of F&SF… mostly fantasy.
DNF: read 10%, skimmed 20%. Extremely shallow fantasy archetypes of character and events, and the plot immediately side quests rather than follows what it set up.
Don't judge a book by its cover, they say; and they're right, because this book has an awful, kind of cringy cover (my wife physically cringed when she saw it), but it's been the best book on writing SFF that I've picked up so far.
Not nearly as good as the video game of the same name! How could it be, really? A novelization of the great Baldur's Gate game, this wasn't bad.
