No. 9 in the Methuen Vintage Books series. Somewhat saucy drawings and antics of Althea

Very well done noir with Howard as an ex-RAF pilot forced to work for bad guy Jones after the war. But when he discovers Jones is not just dealing in contraband, but in drugs, Howard wants out--and ends up being framed. Jones is terrific as the despicable bad guy and Gray is also very effective (and beautiful) as the bad guy's girl who comes to Howard's assistance. Nice rainy London scenes as well. Excellent dialog by screenwriter Noel Langley--who also wrote most of The Wizard of Oz!

I grew up watching this movie. It was the most magical thing I had ever seen or imagined. I waited for it to air once a year.

Dorothy Gale is swept away from her home in Kansas to the magical Land of Oz in a tornado and embarks on a quest with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home and help her friends as well.
Rated G however young children are often scared by witches and flying monkeys
