This is the black and white 1962 movie produced by Darryle Zanuck of the studio then called 20th century Fox based on Ryan's1959 book. It was voted as best picture in the Oscars. It has some persons speaking in German and in French, subtitled. Many American and British actot had parts. Some were established stars in the American and British movie industries. Some went on to success in movies and television. The book and movie were successful. The movie reflected the perceptions of publishers and producers of popular interest in the Western European parts of World War II.… (more)
