About meI am a recently married book collector. My husband and I had a book themed wedding/pig roast. When I was five I cataloged all my Golden Books. I'm a banker but I should have been a librarian. Although these days being a librarian seems to be more about computers than about books. I'm addicted to reading, my computer, and my iPod. I really don't need another obsession but it looks like it's too late! I'm now hooked on LibraryThing.:)
About my libraryI'm always reading something. We are running out of space for more book shelves and have books stacked on the floor. I will never live long enough to read them all but I intend to try.
I read biographies, memoirs, fairy tales, mysteries, fantasy, books about books, and most fiction. I also collect books about knitting, music, music biographies, psychology, and cooking.
I knew my husband was a catch when we went to a bookstore on one of our first dates and he spent $200 on books. A good sign!

I did become a librarian because I love books so much. I do still love being a librarian, but you're right that it really involves knowing a lot a bout computers, and not much about books. I think I always imagined having lots of time to sit around and read, but its just like any other job, especially if you're in management like I am. I look forward to watching what else you catalog that we have in common. I really love Jasper Fforde's books, too.
Cheers, Janoorani
