Sorry, but I thought you meant that you had PBS points you wanted to trade for BM points. I suppose that was just wishful thinking on my part.
Hi Christa,

Hope you received a little surprise in the mail today.....

Irene
Hi!

Just a quick note to let you know that I haven't forgotten the two books I have saved for you (Snow Flower and the 911 Report) - I've just been too busy to get anything posted on BM. But they are still here in a small pile for you! :)

Did you ever get a copy of People of the Book?

Brenda
Hi there,
Yes, please do take your time sending the books to me. I know you're backed up and it sure isn't cheap to send books (I love spending money, but paying for postage is about as satisfying as buying gas, paying for a parking ticket or car repairs :))

Hang in there with the school work - I'm proud of ya. It's not always easy being a student, but make the most of it and it will be worth it in the end!

Glad you are feeling better! It was fun having you to "flu" with.

Have a great day,
Michelle
Hey Christa,
Poor you! I haven't written in forever - you must think, "that Michelle, she feels better and then drops me like a hot potato"!

Not true, just trying desperately to catch up on everything that was abandoned while we were sick :)

How's YOUR catch-up work going?

So, I'm still not feeling 100%, y'know? Are you? The cough lingers and the fatigue - ugh. I'm noticing a HUGE difference in my energy level. I hope you are not battling the same.

Talk to you on the forum soon,
Michelle
Quack! Thanks very much for angeling The Woman in Black for me!
Take your time, I certainly have enough to read in the meantime!
Hey! The Lace Reader is yours! I'm @ work now and I'll probably have a late night so I'll post it for you tomorrow. I love this book. Hope you enjoy it too! Have a great weekend.
I remember now!

It was "When Charlie McButton Lost Power" - a kids' book - and I see that you did in fact mooch it yesterday, presumably for me?

Wait to send both together, obviously, but I can mooch each from you whenever you get them posted. Let me know if there are any problems!

Thanks again, Angel :)
Michelle
Hi there,
I did ask you to mooch a second, but now I can't remember which one it was (the e-mail was sent through the BM site and I always forget that I'm not going to have a record of it when I send that way). Let me look at my lists again, and get back to you. It won't be long.

Thanks so much, and thanks for the other note as well. We really do seem to have the same bug, don't we?

Hope the catch up work at school is going well enough for you.

Michelle
Hi there,
Thanks so much for your note. I've been very absent from here because of still feeling YUCK!

My fever's gone which is awesome and I'm very thankful, but I've been having tummy troubles for the last couple of days which makes me feel like not even moving off the couch.

How about you? I've lost track of you, now. Back at class yet? Still thinking of you, even in my absense!

Thanks again for thinking of me, and talk to you soon,
Michelle
Hi there!
I LOVE Bookcrossing - thanks for checking, though :)
Michelle
By the way, I have found Motrin works the best with this fever. I feel almost like my old self. Tylenol hasn't done much for me, except lower the fever a touch, but the chestiness and chills are still pretty bad.

Hang in there,
Michelle
Hi Macophile!
They are yours! I'll list them reserved for you in the next day or so.

Brenda
Oh my goodness, YES PLEASE, THANK YOU, I PRAISE YOU WITH SONG AND DANCE. (Sorry, I did the post this morning on a public computer between classes. I need a laptop.) I have to have it read by the middle of November and then write a short essay, so sending it back in December should be relatively easy.
Chris- It is reserved! Remember, the dust-jacket has some wear! I hope you enjoy it!
Mark
Hi there! "Edgar Sawtelle" is yours! Let me know your user name on BM and I'll reserve it for you!
Mark
Well, I think I better call it a night. Have been reading mysteries all day. But I must finish this book, 206 Bones. Cannot possibly send Lyn a book I do not have :) Now I need to move Sworn To Silence closer to the top; you gave it four stars. I am rambling...

Take care,
Irene
Hi Christa, (love your name)

Checked BM, but didn't see the book. Have you listed it yet? Of course, you are busy with school and all, so you may not have had a chance. I hope I was'nt too late.

Irene
Hi Chris,
Huh! I can't believe it either! Gee. All that worry does pay off!

Hmm...BM is working for me, very slowly at times, but working - never mind. After all this, another bit of time is irrelevant but typical. :) I have no problem with waiting now I know you have the book! I hope Irene is still OK to 'angel' it.
I can't thank you enough for this though...

On another note, I have just organised a mooch for me to get Midwives! This was a book that a work colleague had been telling me about for ages but she couldn't remember the exact name, and I was very interested in reading it. Suddenly I came across this book and it was the one she meant! In all modesty (LOL) don't we have such good taste in reading? :))

Hope everything is going well for you - I have a lovely three-day weekend so I am enjoying my day. Even more so now that you told me this. Now all I have to do is get his other one. Have fun lining up the ducks!
~Lyn
Hi! Don't worry, if I have not misunderstood, which given my post-vacation syndrome won't be strange ;). SunnyLola is the one interested in mooching the book.
Did you still need an Angel to send to Lyn (lman) in Australia?
Hi! I'm sorry for the confusion with the book you wanted from Spain. I should remember not to read such long threads from my mobile phone ;) I'm glad it is going to other member instead. Cheers.
Christa,
I will be happy to send Lyn the book you mooched for her. Let me know which one it is, and I will send it to her.

Thinking of you; hope all is well.

Irene
Christa,
Thank you sooo much for getting the Sedaris for me - I can't believe 265 other people didn't snatch it first! LOL! I will wait until it arrives, or is sent at least, and then find a US angel to mooch it from you. Will that be OK? That was really lovely of you to do that, so very, very nice! Let me know, though I will be watching *grin*

Hope you are well, and nicely organised for your upcoming term (has it started yet, it must be soon?), and Chelsea is not hogging too much of the bed! :) And your book arrives soon - it should be this week hopefully. This Book Karma certainly works!

~Lyn
Happy to know that you have found it elsewhere.
I reckon my email went awol :-(
If you need someone in Italy...you know where you can find me!
Nah...it won't cost that much more by air.
I'll put it up o n BM now for you, before I toddle off to bed and you can cancel the other one. I'll post it this weekend at the latest...
Macophile
Saw your post about Purple Hibiscus - I have a copy you can mooch if you still want it. Here is the link to it in my catalogue: http://www.librarything.com/work/18107/d...
Does it matter who published it?
I will send it air mail so it gets to you in time. :)
Let me know and I will post it and reserve it for you - hopefully this may alleviate some of your frustration.
~Lyn
Would you really?!? That's really sweet and I sure wouldn't mind. :) Do you want to do a swap with a book in my library? I'd feel bad if you just sent it for nothing in return.
I was sharing my account with my friend and apparently he had been stealing points by making a fake account so now my account has been deleted. He got scared when an admin called him out and deleted the account.

I should have realized it when there was suddenly 20 more points in my account but I usually was only on my account for a couple of seconds.

I'm sorry but unless I can convince an admin to let me use the site again I won't be able to mooch books.
Definitely interested! Thanks for finding it. No worries on Wild Magic I'm not really in a rush to get it. :) My user name is messy_hair. Thanks again.
Thanks so much, Christa.
If he's responding to mooch requests in any way, that's a very good sign.
- Geophile (aka Lorna)

P.S. Does your user name mean that you work on a Mac? (I started out on a Mac -- still have a soft spot for them).
I've done about 20 before... they're not happy. :)
I probably do have about 30 people to send to... and I couldn't lift all their books, let alone send the lot.
Dear Christa,

That was a good idea, to send me the file. You say the paper-based version is about 200 pages; the eBook has a length of 147 pages. The index page you sent me occurs in the eBook on page 136, the other two pages are on page 137 and 138.

The main document consists of "San Min Chu-i" by Dr. Sun Yatsen. The index page on page 135 is the index of the supplement of about 13 page. The content of these pages are photos and namelists of members in Taiwan, San Francisco and Vancouver of the "San Min Chu-i" Society.

The colophon of the publication is found on page 135. You can hand-enter the book on Bookmooch using the that information as follows:

Author: Dr. Sun Yat-sen
Title: San Min Chu I (The Three Principles of People)
Date of publication: October 1, 2003
Publisher: Taipei: San Min Chu-i Society

Description: CD included + supplementary information about the "San Min Chu-i" Society in Taiwan, San Francisco and Vancouver.

The original sales price of the publication was USD $5.00.

If you search amazon.com (on BM) looking for San Min Chu-i. You will find many similar publications.

Best wishes,

Edwin
I didn't expect terrific writing, so the so-so quality didn't bother me, but there was too much about the author's life and personal problems. I was just interested in the cat story :)
Thanks for reserving "The Birth House" for me - I ran right over and mooched it!
So sorry, but somebody mooched them all. I see you got a copy though, enjoy!
OK, Macophile, after your 2nd request for Eclipse, I took pity on you. I have a brand new copy reserved for you:
http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/0316160202
No extra points necessary.
Sara
Thanks for the update. I have a ridiculous number of unread books, so I'm okay with the wait! Especially for a newbee.

Thanks again for angeling.

S.
Thank you so much!
yayyyy :D thanks both you and the lovely Angel!
The three things you need to do are easy. :)

1. Let them know who Angelled it for them.
2. Package the book (and obtain postage).
3. Send the book.
It's yours :) It's reserved for you, and I generally mail on Saturdays, so it'll go out next week. And if you're on Hogwarts Express, come join the college talk thread; sounds like it's right up your alley!

~Kirsten
I thought so - but it was worth a try! :)
I'll be in touch with further developments, I'm staying hopeful.
P.S. That is my exact cover - the actual cover, warts and all, uploaded!

Can you tell I am of a determined nature? LOL!!!!! :)
L.
OK - I have just mooched it for you. :)

If I don't get an acceptance in a reasonable time (it is a long weekend here) say by Tuesday I will email to ask her how long it may take. How's that?

The other thing is I have a copy of this - but it is old. Have a look at mine: http://www.librarything.com/work/9978/bo... If it is OK you can have that!! Do you just need the prologue and the tales; or do you need this specific edition?

Either way - let me know..
~Lyn
Sure, reserve away. :)
Thanks Christa. Mooched it.

Clara
Thank you Christa :-)

Have started on the first discworld novel, The Color of Magic
Hi Macophile,

I agreed to mooch the Terry Pratchett for Triccie. Wasn't on the internet yesterday and I'm just getting caught up today. My Bookmooch ID is the same: booknutzz.

Clara
Hi there!

I am so sorry that it took me so long long to respond.
I am terribly lazy during the week. Once I get home
I just don't do much reaching out, lol.

Thank you for your kind offer for help with the mac. I may well take you
up on it sometime. I still run up against the wall now and then.

I am glad to see your posts on the forums now and then.. keep it up!
This is a great place.

Take care
kath
