About meMelbourne girl about to move to Brisbane (who not-so-secretly wishes she was back living in Vancouver).
Things I like: books, music, singing in choirs (20 years this year!), dancing (a bit of ballroom, Latin & salsa), cooking, wine, friends, cats, cake, conversation, travelling the world, art, journalling, exploring new places.
Things I don't: finding apostrophes in the wrong place (especially from people who should know better), reality TV (but I make an exception for Dancing with the Stars), religious/racial intolerance & homophobia, excessive mess, self-righteousness, binge drinking, overconsumption.
About my libraryMy library varies enormously from classic and contemporary fiction, to books on Australian history and society and other works of non-fiction which I acquired during my years of study. Although I'm not much of a fan of science fiction or fantasy novels, I try and keep an open mind towards everything I read. I probably read equal amounts of fiction and non-fiction recreationally, although I find it hard to make time to read a lot with everything else I do. I'm not one of those people who can devour a couple of books a week, although I wish I could!

Welcome! I am glad that you found LT and GRTB. Even though you are a very busy person I believe that you will fit right in with the group here. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. Plus there is the extra perk of working on that TBR pile.

Enjoyed reading your profile. As an Australian, I'm wondering if you could recommend to me some good Australian lit. I'm familiar with only three Australian writers: Christina Stead, Nevil Shute, & Elliot Perlman, though admittedly, I've only read their most famous works. Oh, and, talk all you want (I'm a talker too) -- I promise I won't tell you to shut up.
Warm regards,
Enrique
