Three beings flee the destruction of Babel, a massive space habitat: Quivera, a human diplomat from Europa, 'Uncle Vanya', an insectoid alien wanting to preserve a 'library' about Babel and a spacesuit, worn by Quivera, but containing the personality of Rosamund, his ex-lover, just killed in the fall of Babel. The latter narrates their picaresque adventures and musings on life. Wonderful stuff! ( )

A human and an alien flee the alien's city after its destruction in a war. Interesting view of relationships in terms of economics. ( )
