Roderick Strange

In the Catholic press there have recently been a number of articles implying a conservative backlash against the 'liberal' lecturers in English Catholic Seminaries. Roderick Strange was Rector of the English College in Rome, yet far from being partisan in either a conservative of liberal way he presents the Catholic faith to Catholics and non-catholics alike in a clear and readable manner drawing upon history and his own experience, without making the book a personal testimony of faith. This show more is a thoroughly human and humane book which manages to explain with apparent ease some of the more difficult doctrines of the Church. It is ideal for Catechists, those new to Catholic faith and those who want a reliable overview. I highly recommend this book show less
