Peter Rand

Self promotion from an American author who found himself in the middle of the 1964 revolution Zanzibar while on a gap year. He makes out like he was part roving reporter, part action hero, but he was actually just a college student getting in the way. Some evocative descriptions of the island and life there just before the revolution, from the perspective of a privileged American tourist, but Rand's contribution to history is negligible.
