Yeah, even 30 years later this movie is still a classic. And it's not hard to see why, with gorgeous visuals and a touching storyline with some wild and touching moments.
My review is colored by seeing this show on tour. The memories of that are tied to the music on the CD.

The sheer joy contained in I Just Can't Wait to Be King contrasts with the plotting in Be Prepared. And the romance in Can You feel the Love Tonight is so sweet.

This is a CD that I would strongly suggest getting as a CD and not only as digital. The booklet includes the lyrics, including translations from Swahili. I finally know what Rafiki is singing!

Some people were surprised the songs show more in the play differed some from the movie. If you are looking for songs as they were performed in the movie, this is probably not what you are looking for.

Recommended for anyone who enjoyed the musical.
