You come to a book like this with fairly low expectations, but this is pathetically bad. Nothing makes sense, and bad messages (e.g., nothing can be done right unless you’re in charge, everyone can be a princess, flowers grow underground) abound. Do your child a favor and give this one a pass.

The ponies come up with a pumpkin variation on the old adage, "If life gives you lemons . . . "

Bland and cloying. Neither my daughter or I enjoyed this when she was six.

FOR REFERENCE:

Rated “Indifferent" in our old book database by Rod and Adelia.
if you don't read this lift-the-flap to your toddler, then you are just plain a bad mom. kidding, kidding!
Great pictures with vivid colors to keep the young child interested in the story. Discovering animals and where they may live never has been so cute. My young child loves this book and can recite what will come next in the story. must have for a house with preschoolers.
