I do not endorse this rousing cheer, but Thomas'll do fine without me. I guess the aversion I feel to Thomas can help me understand how some people can feel the aversion they do to Harry Potter, though.
This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. Fairies come from a floating island in the sky called Gloss Angeles, you guys, for real. You can get there by flying My Little Ponies and glitter power.
Josh and Blue love rainy days. But what can they play?

Can Blue’s clues help find the answer?

=========

This Step One Step into Reading book, designed for ready-to-read Preschool and Kindergarten children uses large print, picture clues, and repetition to help very young readers begin to recognize words. Blue gives young readers three clues to help them decide what she wants to play.

The easily-recognizable character [from the Nickelodeon Jr. show] keeps the young child interested in the show more story; a double page of stickers at the end of the book keeps them involved beyond the reading. This book will appeal to young fans of the series as well as to children who know the alphabet and want to read.

Highly recommended.

When she sees pictures of a Christmas celebration in a book she finds in a sunken chest, Ariel decides to throw her own Christmas party. But what gift will she give flounder? Well, who cares?

My daughter liked this book when she was four, but other than the revelation that Ariel is a heathen, it doesn't do anything for me.
