Rabbit teaches Pooh and Piglet how to garden for the umpteenth time. This rhyming iteration only uses twelve words so there is a lot of Rabbit simplistically correcting with, "No, no, no," and "Sun, sun, sun," and "Rain, rain, rain."
Super cute pictures.
Bonus: The seemingly random order of the vocabulary list at the end makes another odd poem if read with regular pauses:
weeds pull seeds
plant will grow
no need sun
more rain have
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. show more Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Pooh and his friends play with pots and paint, making blue pots, red pots, and pots with spots. Positively adorable and quite a bit Seussian, this little board book makes me very happy whether I'm reading it or just looking at it.

There are two main reasons I like, Friends for a Princess. One reason I adored this story is because the author uses extremely descriptive and clear language throughout the book. For example, the author describes the characteristics of all the characters, “Doc is caring. Doc is Wise. Doc needs glasses for his eyes.” This enhances what the reader knows about each character. Also, the author uses rhyming throughout the story; for instance, “Sleepy likes to take a nap. Dopey wears a show more purple cap.” Secondly, the illustrations used within the story enhance the descriptions provided by the author. When the author writes “Sneezy always has to sneeze” the picture displays Sneezy sneezing and Snow White passing him a handkerchief. The main idea of this book is to show that friends come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities and that we should all be accepted for who we are. show less
Normally I don't comment a lot on the Easy Readers that I read (I would definitely have my 300 goal met if I did!) but I felt the need to comment on this one. If there was ever a Disney Princess book that justified the Facebook group "Disney Gave Me Unrealistic Expectations of Love" then this book might be it.
