My daughter and I literally read this one to pieces, taped it back together, and read it to pieces again. I like the positivity it exudes. Look on the bright side, Piglet! Also, the rhyme scheme is all over the place and just gives up on trying to rhyme altogether in the middle, and that amuses me more than it should.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we show more came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Pooh and Tigger decide to cheer everyone up from the winter blues by throwing a party. Readers must solve lots of mazes to help deliver the invitations to all their Hundred-Acre Wood friends one by one and other puzzles to see what the friends will bring to the party. At some point the winter cheer-up party morphs into Christmas gathering, so a tree is trimmed and presents are exchanged.
Perfectly fine for a coloring and activity book.

Sweet and simple. Explores different kinds of planes, including toys, and what it may be like to go on a plane trip. Adorable cartoony illustrations focus on a biracial family and also include a female pilot and grounds crew.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS is a picture book for young children just beginning to read. The story itself doesn't seem to have any particular plot. Rather, each page depicts a different Disney princess and the way in which she celebrates her birthday. The illustrations are very colorful and detailed and they look practically the same as the animations in the Disney princess movies. Personally, I didn't enjoy this book very much and would probably choose not to use it in my classroom. The story show more is only skin deep and therefore I don't think it would be very interesting or engaging for students. However, the text in this book does employ the use of rhyme. So, if need be, I could use this book to show an example of rhyming to a beginning reader. show less
