The Optimum Nutrition Bible: The Book You Have to Read If You Care About Your Health by Patrick Holford
This is quite a good book to dip in and out of in terms of what vitamin and mineral intake you should be having. I think if you followed everything he says you would rattle though, and his advice probably shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Nothing really new - well-written, but now out of date. Explaining how vitamins and minerals are vital for general health and vitality.
The Holford 'low GL' Diet Cookbook: Easy, low-Glycemic Load recipes for weight loss, health and energy by Patrick Holford
Interesting book on a slightly different Glycemic system. Not really something for me but interesting to think about.
This is an essential read. The first half is the most important part, and you will pick up a lot useful information about healthy nutrition and it is backed up with scientific evidence. Holford recommends a vegetarian diet, but if you are not vegetarian, there is still useful information here. It also has significant information about dietary supplements and vitamins.
